Session description:
This training provides a healthy atmosphere for new practitioners to start parkour, and for everyone to advance in a safe way. This is achieved in several ways. Because safety is paramount, a positive example is set by the more experienced practitioners. This means you will always see warm ups, stretching, and slow progression of movement. It also means there will be no showing off, which leads to copy-cat behavior and subsequently injuries. Rather, people pass on knowledge humbly in a group effort to advance. While there may be several different skill levels represented at these sessions, everyone keeps a beginner mentality.

Another key aspect in this beginner atmosphere is the absence of media. There are no camera crews or reporters to get in the way or cause people to feel self-conscious. While individuals may bring cameras, they should politely ask before filming/shooting anyone other than themselves.

The perception that parkour practice is (and should be) fun, yet being "a discipline, not a game", is set from the beginning. While the atmosphere is relaxed and can be playful at times, horseplay is discouraged, and teasing, mocking, and cliquish behaviors are not tolerated...

We do not expect problems or difficulties, but we know fall back locations at driving distance.
Capuchino is a secluded spot, protected from outside view; we'll be meeting at the palm tree indicated on the map at 12:30; feel free to take a look around, if you get there earlier, but AS ALWAYS avoid roofs or trespassing into buildings
.

ALL LEVELS WELCOME!

I will never eat McDonalds after watching "Supersize Me"

Yeah, and someone made me eat both a double quarter pounder and a Big'n Tasty with large fries. I feel fat now.

I saw you limping a little when you were advising me on the dash vault, but I thought you were just tired; sorry to hear it got so bad.

I really loved that place too; there were way too many awesome spots.

And damn, I wish we waited around a little longer; Patrick, Tim and I went and grabbed some lard--erm, McDonald's afterwards 'cause we were hungry. Next time eh?

Yikes, yeah I'm sorry to hear about your knee Giorgio!
I know I don't need to tell you, but take it easy and get back in action soon.

to Bio: I hated not saying bye! to you guys, but I could barely zombie-walk to the car... the burger sounds GRAIT, I'll have to build it into the equation...

to Dogwithrabiez: considering I thought you'd just broken a rib, that's not to bad... ice it and... Aleeve! (or other brand...). That would make the two of us.

to pyz.particle: ..."wasted", or "trashed", if you know what I mean... =P

Capuchino delivers indeed. I love love love that place.

Me and Andrea and Andrew got giganto-burgers at that place on the corner afterward, excellent. I was gonna invite everyone else, but you all vanished when we were down in the stairwell doing wall runs. Next time...

Yeah, remember that time I fell on my hip? I figured it'd just be a tiny scrape, maybe a small little bruise, and I worked with it throughout the training...

And I come home, and find out its actually a deep purple, covered in blood, and swelling. Lovely. T_T

Overall, really, really fun. I'm going to climb that gate and get up the balcony next time! Going down will be a different story though... 'Till then, I need to work on some more turn vaults.
