basically if you are on the roof, stay out of view. like duper said we usually wait for dusk when its hard to see us and we get maybe 20 min.

i have been able to talk the cops into leaving us alone EVERY time. it just seems weird from what i heard.

Basically if you have time to film up there, you are blowing it up....

the 15 min of sunset or just to get into the courtyard- only times for roofing it.

all else i figure is fair game since they let bball and street hockey and stuff.

no skates and no backpacks while on teh roof. they think we tag here

wow...i had an incident like this at a school down my street but having that many cops show up is amazing. roofs in general are red zones...too easy to get caught even if evading street view

hey duperhero i think thats a bad idea, one of the cops who showed up complained about being called for traceurs who were on the roof when it was dark out. i think if ur seen on the roof at night ur more likely to be confused for a thief

"Aero, aside from the common sense about roofs, can you please clarify the rules of your spot? (Can we add these sorts of notes to the pk map?) "

That would be much appreciated...... Yeah, there wasnt too much activity on the roofs, i agree. I think it was us coming off the roof that pretty much got us into trouble.

I honestly don't think it was so much the activity of being on the roofs that attracted attention- the vids that were posted yesterday were well before the cops came. After the duct vaulting, we actually spent some time in the courtyards within the gated areas. My guess is that when we climbed back up to leave (didn't spend more time on the roof, basically up to walk over and then back down) that some neighbor called the police. Not saying that we shouldn't have been more aware of our visibility, just wanted to clear up a little bit the sequence of events.

Aero, aside from the common sense about roofs, can you please clarify the rules of your spot? (Can we add these sorts of notes to the pk map?)

If you go on a roof, cops will come. Stay off the roofs : )

Dont blow up my spot.

the cops know ME. not baparkour. usually it is the same group of cops everytime. They LET ME STAY. you guys must have been doing something dumb. (staying on roof not moving, not hiding from angles of vision, not staying away from the street side)

Everyone has been cool at Sloat until now. follow the rules or dont go.

to Bonez: yep, good point... this had been already planned for GWHS, where we didn't even get so much heat as at Sloat. We did not do it (yet!), because it seemed that the risk (of getting banned, after becoming visible/official) was not worth the prize. But at Sloat... it may be worth it.
So it may be a good place to try this approach out...

to Sin and everybody: check my updates on the map; I identified three areas at Sloat, and added some notes.

to Sloat's regulars (Ryan, Kamau...): tell us what you think.
