Event Description

BApk would like to positively support the Global Climate Jam campaign by training on this day.
This Saturday in 100 cities across 35 countries members of the parkour community will be gathering to raise awareness of the need for a tough new international agreement to tackle climate change.

To support the campaign and for more details including One Giant Leap event locations please visit http://sandbag.org.uk/onegiantleap

ALL LEVELS present and WELCOME!
Check here for RIDES.

Session description:
less structured than a training session, yet there are still several things to keep in mind. As always, the safety of everyone comes first. We expect people to practice in a safe way. This means no excessive drops or other movements that are beyond your capabilities. While there may not be a structured warm up at these sessions, we ask that you keep your own health in mind and consider warm ups, stretching, and a cool down period.

Jams may be all inclusive or specified to a certain group designated by age, gender, skill level, etc. Please respect the parameters set up by the jam starter. While there may be several different skill levels represented at these sessions, everyone should keep a beginner mentality. Be open to offering and receiving advice, and as always Train Hard, Stay Humble.

Minors and Newcomers pls. check this frequently asked questions about liability. =)

Ha! And it's free, in case you were wondering...

Do we have promotional materials printed? Shirts? Posters? Do we want media?

I threw up a post on SFPK inviting them to our jam....I hope nobody minds. Should media be present at this jam? The point is to be visible, no?

Given the impetus for this jam, I'd like to fill up my car with as many passengers as possible. Who needs a ride from Berkeley/Oakland or a pickup from a BART station on the way (Orem, I'm assuming you're in which leaves three more spaces)?

...actually, we have been invited directly by PKGen to host this, being part of their "Global Community" mapping (see here).

We are not yet displayed among the organizations hosting one, probably because they are not so prompt in updating their map...

btw, South Bay-ers, there will be no Saturday jam that week to encourage attendance to this event.

Last time I checked it's too late to get campaign materials for it now.....they do have things you can print out for yourself though. I'd love a shirt if we could get the printing arranged. Should we get media coverage at this one? Will it be related to SFPK's GCJ at all (or will it be one big one *cross fingers*)? Also, it'd probably be a good idea to email PKGen and get the location marked on their map.

Are we fully supporting this with event t-shirts and campaign materials etc or are we just showing our support by training?
