Train Hard - Stay Humble

Information

South Bay

We all know how hard it is to get up to the jams in SF every weekend. How about organizing a couple jams closer to home and repping the South Bay?

All the way in Saratoga; it takes me about 40 minutes to get there.

Onibunny: Sounds sweet. Might try it next week, although I (and pyz.particle and dogwithrabiez) definitely won't be able to get to the Sunday jam if it's there, I don't think my parents are too keen on driving that far twice a weekend. But in any case, it looks like a really great place, I'd love to go there.

Any chance of someone traveling up there and getting us some pretty pictures? :D

...mobile, traveling, itinerant, nomadic jams are in fact more the rule than the exception for the reasons you said, OniB. (a good example being this one...)

Trainings are a bit more stationary even if they allow for different stations, and related drills (like yesterday, after you left...). GWHS is a good example of that...

A nice in between is the lower Presidio nomadic training, which will come up again soon...
;)

I have worked for a company called go game for a little over a year, it is a company that hires actors to do live action scavenger hunts. The point? I have been dressed as a screaming bride, a parrot, a ninja, a dance instructor, and a cow, and have made people to sing dance, frolic at my whim in that very spot.... many times. I think if we kept it mobile like scouted a few places around there as well, the jogging place to place would keep muscles loose and we get a change of scenery! win-win! Oh and the likelihood of us getting kicked out of anywhere drops dramatically every time we switch places.... WIN.

Onibunny: Yeah, we saw it while we were on the way to the jam on Sunday. It looks like a great place, but maybe a little too public. I doubt we could train there without attracting too much attention and getting kicked out pretty fast. Do you live close enough to scout it out and maybe practice a little there to see how the people there react?

anyone ever trained at the Millbrae train station? benches, bike racks, sculptures galore and I think it is kinda near a park? I forget, but it would be fun to have a mobile jam.

Hey, izzimum17, nice to see another South Bay-er posting. I'd like to correct you on one thing.....your first jam is going to be this Saturday with us. ;) My brother should be getting the event posted any time now.

As for what to look for, low walls are good, railings, stairways sometimes.....um, it's kind of hard to describe, but you'll get the hang of spotting good places in no time.
