Session description:
This training provides a healthy atmosphere for new practitioners to start parkour, and for everyone to advance in a safe way. This is achieved in several ways. Because safety is paramount, a positive example is set by the more experienced practitioners. This means you will always see warm ups, stretching, and slow progression of movement. It also means there will be no showing off, which leads to copy-cat behavior and subsequently injuries. Rather, people pass on knowledge humbly in a group effort to advance. While there may be several different skill levels represented at these sessions, everyone keeps a beginner mentality.

Another key aspect in this beginner atmosphere is the absence of media. There are no camera crews or reporters to get in the way or cause people to feel self-conscious. While individuals may bring cameras, they should politely ask before filming/shooting anyone other than themselves.

The perception that parkour practice is (and should be) fun, yet being "a discipline, not a game", is set from the beginning. While the atmosphere is relaxed and can be playful at times, horseplay is discouraged, and teasing, mocking, and cliquish behaviors are not tolerated...

Minors and Newcomers pls. check this frequently asked questions about liability. =)

Ha! And it's free, in case you were wondering...

We do not expect problems or difficulties, but we know fall back locations at driving distance.
Capuchino is a secluded spot, protected from outside view; we'll be meeting on the courtyard adjacent to the back parking lot (west) at 12:00; feel free to take a look around, if you get there earlier, but AS ALWAYS avoid roofs or trespassing into buildings
.

ALL LEVELS WELCOME!

Capuchino delivered today (as always), yet beyond also initial expectations, given Labor day vacationers and Bay Bridge closure...

What started as a lazy, intimate, summery Sunday, became a very mixed group of about 18/20 training quite hard and discovering always new lines and angles at this really exciting Peninsula spot.

We say that every time, but really we should try to be here more regularly (maybe twice every season?) to get North and South bay together more often, and most importantly keep on progressing on this type of terrain...

We'll try to repeat in 6 weeks, or so.

Really disappointed that I couldn't get off work early today after all, and ended up missing it. Hope you guys had fun and that South Bay sees more action soon.

@Bila: BART gets really close by (maybe 10min. walk?) from Capuchino.
See Milbrae BART station on the map...

Someone will for sure give you a ride back, but getting there, everybody is trying to make it on time and it's a little harder...
:)

One (and only?) good reason to wear a glove; over dressing/bandage, of course...
