Event Description

Same as the Southbay Saturday's held at Saratoga High. Now just at a different location to change it up a bit. Starting time is still a 1pm to keep it simple, and after Downtown Sunnyvale has many places to eat if anyone wishes to hang out after training. Get to know each other more

Comment by Fyrel on January 11, 2009 at 2:01am: It was great. We started off warming up in the plaza (or the big circle thing, whatever you want to call it; you can see it in the google maps link), where there was a low wall and some good railings to practice small runs on.

When we were all warmed up, we migrated across the street to the CalTrain station, which features some really nice walls for progression (from 5 feet to 15 feet tall!) and a great place to practice tic tacs.

Along the way we managed to find time to annihilate Ryan's beef jerky and chicken nuggets.

After that we headed back to the plaza and headed downstairs into the parking lot, where we ~~dented~~ vaulted over Ryan's car for a good half hour. During this time Alex had to head off and Tim managed to bang his knee up pretty good.

When we headed back upstairs, Tim and Patrick were tired and hurt, so they decided to head off after a couple more minutes of training. The rest of us were starting to get hungry and headed off in search of food.

The search for food is worth it's own story, but I'm not going to tell it here. Suffice it to say, we spent an hour meandering about, looking for a restaurant that was open and not too expensive, and ended up eating at an Italian place about 10 meters away from where we started. The pizzas there huge and delicious.

tl;dr Awesome spots in Sunnyvale, Tim got hurt, we ate good food. Fun stuff.

Comment by ElementGolem on January 11, 2009 at 12:36am: The jam was awesome, it turned out better then I expected it to. People had alot of fun, and there ended up being alot of injuries. Patrick hurt his knee early, and Tim kept hurting himself. Ahaha

Good times. i think that best part was kong/dash/speed vaulting over my beautiful car!
