Free monthly "class" for beginners offered by some members of SFParkour; these classes will occur every month alternating between UC Berkeley and the Embarcadero in SF for locations (starting in January at Berkeley). Class is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 12pm.
"The emphasis will be on getting beginners started off on the right foot to begin training safely through controlled progression. The class will cover: philosophy of parkour, training and safety tips, basic skills, fundamental movements and much more!"
The agenda consists of some introductory discussion, a short warmup and conditioning routine, then small group instruction focusing on developing the fundamentals of parkour and progression techniques, ending with cooldown exercises and stretching. After the "class" part is over we usually stick around to train a little longer, as well.
