Event Description

Massive West Coast Jam! WRAP-UP here!

Saturday May 23rd during Memorial Day weekend BAparkour and PKCali would like to bring ALL the West Coast communities together for a Jam in San Francisco. San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area are among the best places for parkour in the nation. There are training grounds galore and friendly hosts to show you around. We hope to bring traceurs from Southern California, Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and beyond to San Francisco in order to establish a stronger bond throughout the West Coast.

On May 23rd there will be an all day session spanning five locations including WWII bunkers, a wooded trail run, school campuses, and concluding with a big barbecue at Golden Gate Park. On the days surrounding the main jam there will be satellite sessions that anyone can attend.

Well dogwithrabiez, pretty sure I'm not the cameraman you were hoping for but I shot some footage of the MWCJ. I ended up taking my camera to SFPK's monthly the next day as well and I just edited them together, so not everything is from the MWCJ.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the cameraman(Totally forgot his name) is going to give us a link of what he filmed?

...em-double-u-cee-jay it's not that bad, IMO; besides this will be become known as "the Massive", after PKCali's repeat!

thanks again to chris, giorgio, haley, and all the guides and peeps that worked their tails off in setting up the event. i - along with all the other socal-ers (is that even a term?) - had a blast at all the locales and meeting all the new peeps and am proud to be part of such a strong community. i can't imagine it getting any better, but if there's a 2nd edition i'm so there!

Hmmmmm.......

The MWCJ says it's the "1st edition". So it's a yearly event now? (crosses fingers)

If it is, perhaps we should get a more pronounceable name for it. Even the acronym for this one is awkward to say in speech.
