The regular Sunday session is ON as usual at the same spot and time as last week. RSVP here.

Oh, if anybody lives in the eastbay and wants to carpool out, drop me a message, i'll be checking back later tonight.

umm, on a side note, i'm pretty sure the jam starts at noon, not 1.

I hope this isn't overshadowing the regular Sunday session. I see an empty calendar. If Sunday is going to be smaller, anyone up for something in the East Bay, perhaps Cal or Lakeview Elementary before students start crowding the spots?

I'll be there. And, yes it is a product placement jam, but I'm just going cause I love parkour.

I like and agree with what Giorgio said....

I can see why you would think it's a product placement jam. honestly, it is at least half way. however, you don't have to go for the shoes. go for the jam. you really won't even have to acknowledge 5.10 if you want. but if you feel that way, by all means, stick to it. :)

and this event pisses ME off cause King won't be there for my last summer session at ucla D:

i encourage those of you who do go to say hi to King and have fun training with him. he's an awesome guy and a brilliant athlete. you'll probably learn something good

...I'm traveling that week-end, otherwise I'd go say hi to King, who is a friend, a dedicated traceur, and a milestone of PKCali (which we link from the mainpage).

About using casual gatherings like jams to create product awareness (ANY product), I have my doubts about the utility of it (for the Co. it's like preaching to the converted, and the "consumers" in return -best case- get another t-shirt...), and about the overall correctness...

It's sad that after having been around for some years, parkour still lacks representation, and places to train without being chased away, but for sure we've got... shoes! (yoohoo!...).

You might say: "...at least we don't have to run away barefoot"...
=(

I almost prefer the little show, talk, and discipline awareness package put up by the K-Swiss folks, they didn't piggyback on an informal gathering...
What I would like to see are companies that support REAL programs, like training for low-income teens, or girls specific demo sessions, or support for non-profit parkour gyms, or something...
