Event Description

Massive West Coast Jam! WRAP-UP here!

Saturday May 23rd during Memorial Day weekend BAparkour and PKCali would like to bring ALL the West Coast communities together for a Jam in San Francisco. San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area are among the best places for parkour in the nation. There are training grounds galore and friendly hosts to show you around. We hope to bring traceurs from Southern California, Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and beyond to San Francisco in order to establish a stronger bond throughout the West Coast.

On May 23rd there will be an all day session spanning five locations including WWII bunkers, a wooded trail run, school campuses, and concluding with a big barbecue at Golden Gate Park. On the days surrounding the main jam there will be satellite sessions that anyone can attend.

Wisdom comes from experience, experience comes from age. All I can say is good luck Josh. If you are lucky, you start waking up earlier normally, which is a benefit to your body.

I'm so excited about this month. The Jam, my birthday, and the Terminator movie is coming out on May 21, which looks AWESOME. I might watch the movie after the Jam.

Giorgio is very wise.

to Josh: you CAN do that!!! (Lol!)
We do wish you luck, but feel you've got pretty lucky already with parents that don't have unreasonable expectations, like good grades, good behavior and such things...
:D

ps: I'm a parent, who remembers being a teen...

Depending on where you're staying, it might be better to drop your backpack at the hotel (even if room unavailable yet), due to the distance to be covered during the day.
BART will get you downtown in 20', and peeps will be able to pick you up pretty much anywhere in town (we might set up pick-up points).
Organizers will be busy setting up the day, and guides (which may be driving from close to SFO) won't probably get going before 10AM.

I'm flying in early on Saturday (arrive at 8am). Anyone able to give a ride to the meet point from the airport or should I just use public transportation?

I have my plane tickets. This will be my second trip to SF within half a year =D
Also, would anyone be interested in jogging through Golden Gate Park and down Ocean Beach, either before or after the day's festivities (~7 miles)? I'm looking to do this on Thursday or Friday of that weekend.
