Event Description

Field trip Ladies!! Ryan has coordinated some time and space at CrossFit Marin for us to train indoors on softies! Thanks Ryan!!

So let's set up some ride shares and all get out there! Anyone that's coming and can offer a rider, please post here.

This training is designed to help those that want to learn how train safely and effectively. It provides a healthy atmosphere for new female practitioners to start parkour, and for everyone to advance in a safe way.

And it's FREE!

This Muir Beach Overlook hike in Marin (detailed by Tom Sinestra in this weeks' SF Chronicle looks pretty cool too...however it may be overrun since it did just get written up in the Chron.

Muir Beach overlook: If you are cruising the coast, there is a famous view point along Highway 1 that makes for an easy stop. The turnoff leads to a short spur road and parking area on a 450-foot perch that provides a sweeping scan of the ocean to the Farallon Islands and Marin coast, best looking to the south. At the north end of the parking area you will find the Owl Trail. It leads down to Slide Ranch (a working farm with animals), passes cypress trees (where owls occasionally are seen at dawn and dusk) and then - surprise - a rock beach and tidal reef. At low tide, this is great spot to rock hop, explore tide pools and crevices, often with scads of tiny rock crabs. Muir Woods Visitor Center, (415) 388-7368, nps.gov/goga/muir-beach.htm; Slide Ranch, (415) 381-6155, slideranch.org.

Jen has a good point - whoever is up for a hike after the gym jam, come with me. I wanna do the top half of Steep Ravine and maybe we can do dinner in Sausalito.

Hey Jodie,
You can ride w/me on the way back. Looks like it might only be me, Jen & Geri in my car (assuming they wanna ride w/me).
