Event Description

Hey Ladies! It's our 6-month mark! ...so i'm taking us back to the site of our very first womens jam =)

This training provides a healthy atmosphere for new female practitioners to start parkour, and for everyone to advance in a safe way. Safety is paramount, so a positive example is set by the more experienced practitioners. We will warm up, stretch, and slowly progress, and have fun while keeping a beginner mentality.

Comment by monk on March 8, 2009 at 10:49pm: today's session was another great one. the weather cooperated and we had 2 brand new faces this time around! This, coupled with a few of the longer-time traceuses was a perfect mix! after stretching, this time we actually did the conditioning exercises before the jog around the park. we went on to learning basic movements by just taking the box jump, putting our hands down on the obstacle and learning several various kinds of movements you can do. we continued to move ourselves over rails too. after that, it was to the wall for some wall runs. the fun part
of this was that we had to lower ourselves into this other gated area, so you kinda had to use the wall to get yourself out! from here we practiced our rolls, underbars, and popvaults. at the end of the day, the group headed down one block from the park for some ice cream!

But mostly, I don't have a ride, and last time I tried to take public to women's Jam, I got hopelessly lost.
