Event Description

Parkour has come to be not only an art form, but also a lifestyle. One that represents hard work, kinship, focus and philosophy. Silent sessions aim to draw out the spiritual side of Parkour, that is, training alongside fellow tracuers, but communicating through the language of movement, and only the language of movement. The silence represents Parkour, which represents discipline and focus. With an atmosphere of professionalism, we hope for you to experience a different side of Parkour, where fears are silenced and obstacles are conquered.

"Quiet the mind, let the body speak."

Training Location...
I have been to this location a few times, it has good stuff and is a tight knit space. As with any location, this one allows for great creativity and enhancing your "parkour vision".

In that case. I will be there 99.99% of the time. This group is one of my priorities, if there is homework or anything I can work on it later. The only time I won't be attending is if I'm not in town, or there is a mandatory function that I have to go to for school or something. Otherwise, I'm committed to being there.

...the difference between posting (i.e.) within the group only, a casual session saying something like "anybody up for 'silent training' tonight at 5:00 @Embarcadero?", OR, instead, posting a complete event, with info and details is: the event organizer commitment to be there.

Unless canceled in due time, an "Event" should have the organizer there waiting for people, even if they haven't RSVP'd, 'cause they may have checked in last minute, and have been riding overt there knowing there was a session, because it was in the calendar and it wasn't canceled... that's a good ratio, I would say.
;)

Actually...would posting this up in the events section be okay? I mean it hasn't attracted too much so far, which is good, I want to keep it at around 5-10 people.

I wish I could "speak" sign language. And thank you too Jodie, a focused jam requires focused people. I think I'm going to keep this group small, so I'll send personal messages to members for upcoming jams instead of posting them up in the events section.

hey, i know there's no conversation at this jam, but just wanted to ask-- does anyone speak sign language? i do quite fluently (but i won't 'talk' to you at this jam)

It's fine, I'm glad you're getting your kids into it. I've been trying to get my little brother into it, but he's more of a sea critter...meaning he swims a lot.

I may bring my daughter, and in that case I'll not be part of your silent group -- but train there with you nonetheless.
