Parkour is not all about jumping heights, it's more about jumping quickly, controlled and precisely.
A little wall like the white one in the picture can provide hours of training (looks familiar?...)
When pain is gone start conditioning your legs with exercises like this and routines like that...

It's not global, it's local... lol! But beginners are the same all over the world (and beyond!).
Check the video section, especially the "Progression" clips by Kaos. We usually don't post useless, crazy stuff... there's good hints to watch or read all around.
Besides: I grew up in Italy, Frenchie in France, and G-man in Austria... who knows where life is gonna lead you!
