Another Ankle Update (last one, I swear)

It's official, I have a second-degree sprained ankle. The doctor told me i probably sprained it the first time around and then when I twisted it again, I messed it up pretty badly. I'm officially not allowed to run on my ankle for at least a month or so. (4-6weeks according to the doc) and that definitely means no parkour.

I'm pretty bummed out about it but I know if I try to test my ankle too soon, I'm going to hurt it further. I'm probably going to continue working my upper body and doing other kinds of exercise to keep myself in shape until i can pk again. I will be at sessions once in a while to take some video and pictures so I will see you guys once in a while.

Yeah...I had one also, I try to do more strengthening but I forget to do shin and calf raises sometimes...or stretch them. I usually take my showers on my weaker foot or on the balls of my feet. My ankles are okay but still are a bit weak.....

I had one that was between a second and third degree. I think I didn't feel right for almost 8 months. Yuck.

Yikes.. I had a first degree and that was bad enough. Sorry you're going to be out so long Faye. Get better!

Yikes, sorry to hear about your ankle. I've had a few first degree tears that were okay in a month but really took the better part of a year to be 100%- the most serious was probably a second degree and it took at least a month before I could really run on it and multiple months before I felt comfortable jumping on it. Take it easy, don't rush it, but get well soon!
