That jump looks huge i9n this picture! I think it's an illusion, though. If you imagine the bottom half of his legs extended, the gap looks smaller in comparison to his body...at least for me.

So: beach to rock-with-green-mushy-slippery-coating to beach?!?
The second half looks like 16/18 feet, with a 2' height difference "up" and a crumbly edge...

Big Sur...actually this campground is only 2 hours south. You don't need reservations if you just show up early. We should do a big BApk trip!
