Good idea, I agree. Not a good idea to pay the $50 unless we get to be full members without RSF fee. Hmmm . . . they should have told us that before! Thanks for letting me know. I'll do $5 drop in this time too.

Ina recently spoke to the guys over there on the phone, and they said that they might reinstate the RSF membership fee :( (but they haven't yet). just don't want to pay 50 bucks for them to tell us we need a membership later. i think that if we go tomorrow we try to do the $5 drop-in and put pressure on them to make a decision. ...?

Hi Lisa,
Here is the info that we were given from the guys in charge of the Berkeley gym.

This is what they sent to us:
Thank you for coming and participating during our club hours. We welcome all levels and people who want to learn gymnastics. Currently, the free trial period has ended, and we ask all members to do the following:

1. Pay dues; Many non-students believe the membership is $75.00 per semester. The fee is now $50.00. For those who have already paid, I have record and can reimburse you for the extra $25.00
2. Register online at the following link: http://www.recsports.berkeley.edu/im/cs/login.aspx

You must complete these two in order to continue participating in our club hours. If you have not done either, you will be asked to leave the facility.

To get things started, we will have our first intercollegiate competition, the Halloween meet, 11/1 Sunday at 4:00pm. This relaxed event is a fun way to meet various colleges students from around the state. In addition, our first fundraiser for the fall will be 10/10 Saturday 6:00pm-10:00pm. The fundraiser is a babysitting night that helps fund our club. We ask that all members attend at least one fundraising event, but plenty more opportunities will be available in the future.

I just got back from the Channel Islands last night. I'll be at conditioning today and will be able to drive over to Berkeley after.
