Event Description

Hey there everyone! I have been asked by a friend of mine to host a special tutorial jam for the children and teens of the WestBay Multi-Service Center here in San Francisco. This facility opens the doors to the youth of the SoMa district in the downtown area of the city for those who might be in lower-income families or other similar situations. By incorporating parkour into a weekly or even monthly event at Manalo Graves Park, I'm sure we can really open the eyes of these kids to realizing their un-tapped potential, much like many of our own memebers here at BAPK. So hopefully some of you guys and gals can venture out here and get involved with helping out the community AND do parkour at the same time! Thanks!

...aside of John (Adhesive), Jodie and Niko, when I got there around 4:30, I found also the very committed Andrey and Benny, and the 40+ kids group led by Charles that Jodie described.
Around 5:00 we kind of improvised a demo that must have been at least fun to watch, and at times also impressive...

Jodie and I left short thereafter to meet JustSteve at civic center for the SFdrones training, but after 5 minutes scouting we decided to abandon the spot (due to excessive smell and bums presence), even if the area showed some potential... I understood only later that we left back Niko, who was looking for us (...sorry! Next time we should to leave all together...).
:(

We drove to Aquatic Park, where we met Sam (aka Rocket) and we trained a good hour there...

All-in-all, fun day!
John: let's coordinate a program and a team for the future of this...

John, thanks, this was great! Charles has a wonderful program going on here and i think it's really important that we continue with it. i'll volunteer to help instruct the 40 some-odd kids that are interested in parkour! 3:00 would be hard for me to make, but i'm good for after the warm up. it was fun, and a great park!

...the time is a little tricky for me, but I'll do my best to show up 4/4:30pm.
Great initiative!

Really wish I could make this but I'm going to be out of town. Keep updating, though, I want to help out in the future.
