If you've ever trained with me, you've heard me say over and over (other than lean forward) "SWING YOUR ARMS!" i have always been a fan of, and will every single time, tell you to use the full extension of your arm swing. swing both of your hands
all the way (comfortably) behind you. as you swing your arms forward- don't bend at the elbows, keep them straight (other than the very slight natural bend that comes from remaining relaxed), don't tense up, and then reach out fully in front of…

PLEASE vote for us!
Jodie, Niko, Natasha & I were conditioning on Saturday, and after a death defying hike through Mile Rock Beach, we came across a Hansen's Soda Truck. They're giving away $500 a week to the best photo showing off SF, so we'd greatly appreciate it if you voted for our photo. The setup is by the ramp at the Ocean Beach Seawall, and while Jodie & Niko are…

Since 7th grade i've been addicted to one of the most unhealthy beverages known to mankind, soda. For
some reason it took me till now to realize how much better shape I could be in if I just stopped. Starting
today I'm going to try my best to drink water instead of soda, and hopefully lose some monumental
poundage. Not sure why but I felt like writing this made it more official... like a pledge or something, idk.

This past Sunday, I finally met up with the women of PK. It was great and everyone was super nice. I really have to move to SF to enjoy the full benefits of hanging out with the SF Pk-ers. Jodie was really encouraging and I did a lot more QM exercises than I would have done by myself.
We started off along the Embarcadero, by the Ferry building, doing warmups and whatnot. Then, we moved to this rooftop garden which was beautiful and peaceful. Here, we could do a lot more since there…

Hello everyone!
It's about time I get around to this...I was supposed to start making “progress posts” throughout the year, but school took up a LOT of my time. But now that summer is finally here, I have much more time to practice what I love most - Parkour, Freerunning, and Tricking. I only had time to practice for maybe 1 or 2 hours every 3 days or so during the school months, but I have created a schedule for this summer that consists of 6 days of practice from afternoon till…

I just got the shirts I ordered and they look good! The design works (omgnoway!) and I'm satisfied with the printing.
You can now get your own in a variety of styles/colors
here.
If you would like to make a bulk run or if you have access to your own screen printing, let me know and I will send you the file.
The text in the background is the Run…

Hey BApk.. Just got back from an awesome session at NWCrossfit in Seattle. Led by
Rafe, an undoubtedly experienced and progression-minded traceur, we trained rail balances and precisions, rolls, and worked on flow through an obstacle course. We did some conditioning and weight training as well, working deadlifts, ring dips and muscle ups. I'm beat!
Best of all it was FREE (for first timers). A must attend for anyone in the…

Heck of a session today, Socal really started the summer off right. We held our first Monthly jam of the season and it was just as crazy a time as the ones from last year :)
Never got an official head count, but I'd say upwards of 40 traceurs and traceuses made it out to UCLA to hit up the usual favorite areas and enjoy the sunny weather (it was supposed to be cloudy but it wasn't, HA). Spirit was high and we all seemed to have a good time playing and sweating…

Hello All! Summer is upon us and I will be in Paris until July 1st, so I won't be able to attend any jams or sessions for June. I do want to get better and I think I've achieved most of the goals I wanted for Spring 2009 so I can't wait to come back and improve with you guys in San Jose, San Francisco, and especially the girls of BAPK.
Hope you won't miss me too much and I will you see soon. Cheers!

I would like to say thank you to all of Bapk. I started school last August (at USF), and was interested in trying out Parkour, which I had learned about from the pkcali link. At first I was nervous that the members would not accept me or that it would be hard being a beginner. I was very wrong.
From that beginning day, Bapk members have been nothing but helpful, kind, instructive and motivating (not to mention they design cool looking t-shirts). When I had a question or concern,…

If anyone's flying Virgin America, you'll see NoSole in the intro video looking for Pringles at SFO's gate A20.

so I've diagnosed myself with Jumpers Knee. According to the internet its like a slight form of tendonitus you get on the bottom of your kneecap where your shin connects. I noticed an amount of pain in that area after i trained for a couple weeks and had forgot to ice it every night after training =(. Eventually the pain started firing up without me training... NOT GOOD. So I've decided not to train until the West Coast Jam on May 23, that will be my first day back =). In the mean time i intend…

So far this year, I consider myself to have regressed, lacking the patience and ultimately courtesy I had 2 years ago. I'm not as confident, maybe not as eager, but I am still motivated to change this decline. I've read on societies that I admire, learned about Spartans (although disagreeing with many of their philosophies), Zulu's, Shaolin Monks (highly agreeing with all of their philosophies), Ninja and it all seems that they gather strength most from a kinship, training alongside one…

I think I have too many hobbies, and this is one that doesn't seem to fit me very well. I just don't really like jumping.
