awsome! we still havent decided what time we'er gonna start either. btw, i wont be coming to acrosports this week either, cause we'll also be training outside all day that day too.
well for starters reminders to take things slowly or they will end up like me... with out some teeth... lol... i know most people would be self concious about it but im proud that i learned how to progress... even though it was the hard way... maybe safe and sure can talk about first aid... ask d-rod what to do incase of an emergency... that kinda stuff... what ya think??
I just got that tat I was telling you about last sunday (the eye of ra with the parkour guy up in the eye. I'll try and put A pic of it on ba for all to see. I'll see you soon... take care for now, late
Chris i miss you SO PAINFULLY. This place is so great but I'm still counting days till my first parkour session when I get back. Since i only have one foot, I've had to rely on my arms too for getting around, which is good that I've had parkour training. The place I'm staying is so bizarre that all the different rooms have different levels, so I've been doing under-bars and vault-ish type movements to get around.
Uhmm I wish I had a cool story but nope. I was walking down the street. It was cement.
Except in my defense I was like wandering around in some random dark alley (Looking for an ATM and that was how to get for it) and it was my first night in Italy so i had no idea where I was. And it was the middle of the night and I was jet-lagged to the max and I couln't see that the pavement was totally uneven.
Actually the interesting story comes afterwards, because i was 20 minutes from my hotel and I did not yet know a single person in the entire country cuz I took a plane on my own and wasn't meeting up with people till the next day. So I just laced up my hightops really really tight and walked (limped) back the whole way. And then since I knew a bit about sprains I tied it up really tight with a scarf I had, and since i had no ice i kept it in the sink with ice water which I changed every half hour. Then I took the pillows off the extra bed and had it elevated the entire night. So I'm pretty proud of my skills. I could survive on my own in a random country. Maybe not but I could treat a sprain on my own.
However Italy is still really nice. I'm having great fun, making friends and enjoying myself.
Okay well yeah I met up with the Lithuanian parkour group a couple times during the week that i was there which I will be happy to tell you about when I get back, it was much fun.
But at the moment I sprained my ankle (not parkour-related injury) and had to walk on it for a week. You know me, I hate to admit I'm in pain, but it was really really bad. Not only was it swelled up so my shoes didn't fit, but my entire leg from my heel to half-way up my calf was a mix of colours from black to red. But I pretended like I was fine (even though I was so not) since the doctor said I'd be okay so long as I iced it when it was at night. But then after a week of this we went to a different doctor who said not only was it a really terrible sprain, I also ripped a tendon. And now I'm in a cast for the next two weeks, and I'm not even allowed to leave the house we're staying at for a couple days. And it majorly sucks because all my friends are partying it up in Italy and I get to read books (because internet is not really available here). And also I miss being able to move around.
They weren't the greatest for practicing for beginners but I still had a lot of fun. My friends and I go to the bunkers over on the Marin side all the time and we're always climbing over stuff, so I'm used to that terrain. I was mostly practicing trying to get up that wall over and over. Which I'll get eventually.
