Event Description

Hey guys,

Dan Edwardes is coming in to visit for a short while next week and he wants to jam with us! He's going to be helping out at the youtube live event and they day after we're going to hit up the bunkers in SF and do a little session there. It's going to be starting at 11am.

Anyway, it's bound to be fun, and it's an opportunity to meet a big name in parkour! I know it coincides with the regular sunday session, but if you'd like to come join us, everyone is very welcome!

I know there's a thing against pkgens from the pkna guys, but like Sin says, it's a different training op and you can learn from anyone. Also, if you have issues with his business model or whatever, this is an opportunity to ask/confront/fight him about it.

Comment by Sin on November 16, 2008 at 11:04pm: i am not very familiar with pkgen as a whole.while i am not in favor of a blatant commercialization of parkour i think it is always interesting to participate in something a bit different.

that being said my back has been flaring this past week. if i am well enough to go i would love to see a new conditioning routine. maybe learn something new for monday nights :)

also just something of note, you don't have to agree with someone in order to learn from them. If what you are saying is true then i do not agree with their business model, but when it comes down to training they still know more then i do.

Comment by Chris on November 16, 2008 at 10:01am: Alex, Stephane Vigroux is not the head of the company. He is employed by Mr. Edwards. He came out in favor of competition is the U$F volume 3 (which is posted on this site).

Other communities have gone so far as to ask Parkour Generations not to come visit them, because they don't want practitioners getting the mindset that parkour is about being idolized or known.
