Parkour Connections is working with the City of Lathrop to design and construct the first public parkour park in the United States and we want you to get involved!
The parkour park will be part of a comprehensive $5.8 million dollar East Lathrop Community Complex aimed at bringing all ages and walks of life together. The complex will include a library, skate park, amphitheater and amenities. Over the last several months, Ryan Fulmer of PKC has been working with architects and city officials to create a mutual understanding of how parkour will play a role within this new environment.
The priority for Parkour Connections is to create a safe, approachable space for the budding Lathrop parkour community to learn and grow. There is also a deep desire from all parties involved to make this a welcoming and exciting space for all parkour practitioners.
To try and involve as many Bay Area community members as possible, we will be holding a special parkour-specific planning meeting in San Francisco.
