Train Hard - Stay Humble

Decided to start doing some super quick informal videos as I accomplish things I'm proud of and explore the edge of what I can do.

Descriptions in order:

0:04: 12+ ft with down. On the big side, and pretty scary. I've always avoided big down precisions, and have been working on building the technique/strength/guts to land them well.

0:11: Some consecutive 10-11 ft. I've been looking to try consecutive precisions for a while now, and was blown away that I was able to get this right away. As is always the case it's hard to tell from the footage, but these were big gaps.

0:17: 11+ ft with down. One of those really awkward gaps that you would never stop to think was possible, unless you were looking for really hard stuff in the first place. Pretty easy once I got it, so I worked the starting distance smaller to try and make it harder.

0:25: A big up-gap, with 3ft of tidal pool to fall into. Another one of those gaps that I would never have even thought about before, let alone try. Amazing how scary it was to go for, and I'm really proud I did (not to mention that I nailed it first try). Second try wasn't quite as good, obviously =)

I know all 5 of you watching this are probably getting bored of precisions by now. I'll try to mix it up next time.

Nice work. If you want to mix it up, come over to Berkeley and check out some of the tree precisions over here, some of the most mentally difficult sub-maximal effort precisions you may find. Lots of precise footwork when climbing, too- probably a perfect challenge for your skills.

LOL!
Loved the giggle at the end...
:)

If (unlikely) it would have been me, I'd said: THERE'S NOTHING TO LAUGH!
