I dunno... Speeders is a performance group. The guy is obviously used to the pressures of performing for a live audience. So, no, I don't think the combination of unfamiliar terrain and showing off is a random occurrence in competition.

Yeah, he pops his knee on a quite gentle trick (compared to the others! At 5:08).

Meh... to be fair the fact that it happened in competition was quite random, but surely he appears much more relaxed in the whole rest of the vid.
Performing for a prize in front of a huge crowd and TV audience, would put pressure on anybody; if not to the point to contact one's movements, at least to push one's performance to the limit, even if maybe one didn't feel like it on that very day...

That was August of last year at the Barclaycard Freerun Championships in London; I wonder how close to recovering is he now.
