Train Hard - Stay Humble

David Belle showing the most important skill...

...getting up from a fall.

This video show David Belle carefully assessing a 8' gap, and nonetheless missing it, AND NONETHELESS saving himself (as good as he can) AND avoiding to hurt somebody else (!!!)
But the most important in this video is the way he gets up: smiling.

You've got to ask this guy... he was there... maybe he was even the one filming...

After the fall, did he attempt the jump, straight away? Or did he get up and do something else. :)

You HAVE to see the Giants fall to know FOR SURE it's gonna happen to you too!

Especially for beginners, it's useful to see that it looked like he knew how to position himself, and hit the wall with his back and not with his head or arm or else.

I believe it's good to watch some bloopers and even bad falls over and over, not to grow numb to fear (which would equal recklessness), but to became AWARE of the possible risks and the ways to possibly diminish them.

Some time ago I read: "Awareness can focus on fear without fear. When we identify with fear we are afraid; when we identify with awareness we are that which is looking at the fear. This awareness is the part of us that is always calm, and it can be a helpful refuge when we are under attack by fear..."[Fear of Falling, Failing and Flying - Timothy Gallwey]
