Saratoga is a little too far out; your closest station would be Santa Clara, then from there it's 1h.15' transit, 1 ml. walk to get to MuniMetro, and then another 8 stops to the closest one to GWHS... at least a 2hours deal (back and forth)

You could do that in a group once every two months or so... it just doesn't seem to make sense.

Not this time, but in general (and I may not know what I'm talking about): is hopping on CalTrain, maybe in a little group, an option?
We could organize pick ups at some station...
