Thanks for asking;
MY advice, which is not necessarily the best:

1. take it easy, parkour is a lifelong endeavor;
2. training is everything, don't expect to do things "right off the bat": I used to do 10 series of 100 crunches each, but I never did more than 65 push-ups... compared to you, I still have to get there... ;)
3. find somebody to train with (both techniques and condition), work together for a while or forever, but if it doesn't work change it
4. watch others! ("live", not on videos) Half of the times you'll find they have the same difficulties as you, and you can learn from their efforts
5. don't jump off things higher than the one you can as easy climb on to (in one "move"); jumping off things is NOT the purpose of parkour
6. measures are irrelevant, it's not a competition (aside, maybe, with yourself)... you will always find an obstacle that you cannot just jump on, off, or over it... so what are you gonna do? Train another week until you'll get that extra foot? I think not...
7. "getting good at parkour", in my opinion, is about becoming better in getting over/under/through/around obstacles in your most direct/safe/efficient path... it's something you already know how to do, it's just about getting better at it...

Anyway, you should hear more and from more people, so maybe, you could start with coming out to a live session, but feel free to look around.
This is a good place to start.
=)
