Hey y'all, who's down to road trip or fly up to Seattle for this event?

Should be epic. I'm planning on going. I'm down to ride with someone, but I'll fly if I have to. My truck can only comfortably hold one person. Cory said the drive here from Seattle for the International Jam took her 15 hours... so...

I don't think I can make it this year (other plans previously made for that weekend) but I highly recommend it to anyone considering. Ryan, Albert, Mace, Marisa, Joonas and I made the trip last year and, in my opinion, it was the perfect mix of physical practice, informative speakers and of course meeting tracers from other cities. My only regret was having to drive back early and missing the trees at Volunteer Park.

Our drive up there was about 15hrs, partly due to unexpected traffic around Portland; the return trip (mostly overnight) was a little under 14, IIRC.

It looks like a few of us are probably heading up. Myself, Marissa, Albert, Ryan, and Niko are all going as far as I know. There's a thread on SFPK, but I'll try to update here with carpools, etc.

Should be fun. I'm not much for training at these large events, but I do enjoy meeting people from all over and making friends whose couches I can crash on when I come back to visit in a small group. In fact, I might not train at all since I sprained my ankle last week. Anyway, I hope some folks make it up!
