ok so, i know this is a bit of an amateur question but I am going to start bringing my digital camera to jams and it has the ability to make videos. Unfortunately there is no mic on it so no sound. How can i edit my videos to add some music overlay or something like that just to make them a bit more interesting before i post them.

PC, i would prefer something basic and even more important cheap/free

- upload clips to your PC (save them in a folder that you are not gonna move... that's important to prevent confusing the software)
- Start menu/All Programs/WindowsMovieMaker
- drag and drop your clips in MovieMaker
- play around with editing (it's basic, but takes a while to get it right)
- import audio (mp3 unprotected)
- synchronize audio (sounds and music) and audio/video (volume!)
- save project as (that allows you to modify and/or recover it if, as it happens, MM crashes...)
- save movie file as (maximum quality for your PC)
- import here
