...don't even say that! ("falling apart" and such...)
We all have had our injuries (all right, ll right... some here are so young that haven't had their, yet...), it's just something you don't hear people talking about.
But if you decided so, or you're too busy job hunting (which IS a job, per se... been there too), I respect that.
Only consider that maybe a couple of injuries in a short period of time, doing a new thing, could be explained with raw physics: too much load, due to a new agent, on a unreinforced structure...
You may simply need to condition substantially more than, say, yourself at 22.
Lately we are doing more warm-up/conditioning during the Sunday session than before; and we hope with the fall -as soon as everybody is back- to make it a pattern, maybe splitting in groups with some of us doing proper drills, before training techniques and "jumping around"...
Soooo... up to you: if you feel like it (and can control the urge of dive-konging all over), come any Sunday and we'll make your wheels spin without bumping the frame!
=)
yeah i've done martial arts since i was like 5. Started with a kempo style that mixed alot of japanese and chinese stuff together. Then at like 8-9 i got wayy into point sparring. competed alot, made my kicks snappy and my ability to place strikes in openings. I moved to MI after leaving NH and couldnt find karate that was similar, so i started Tae Kwon Do. Did that until highschool, even qualified for sydneys olympics for my age,(long time ago) Wrestled all through highschool.
Finally as a big boy on my own in college i started training kickboxing, mma and bjj at fairtex in downtown SF for like half a year. It DEFINITElY helped to bring everything together for me.(good one on one PROFESSIONAL instruction, Roll with the guys you cheer for haha awesome practice)
So now its just sparring and practice, i want to get something going at the Sloat practices when we do the natural method stuff. Parkour+ Martial Arts = perfection Flight AND Fight. especially if you have an understanding of capoeira's idea "malicia" (google "capoeira malicia") keep em on their toes, especially when its THEM(2+).
