Train Hard - Stay Humble

[mirrored from APK - because we are lazy ;) ]

If you just watched MTV's "Ultimate Parkour Challenge" you may have a few reactions:

"Wow, those guys are amazing!"
"Holy S#it that's sick! I gotta try it.
"OK, this is seriously dangerous..."
in any case, there's a few things you need to know:

1. We are not suicidal - the object is NOT to subject yourself to danger. Quite the contrary, we practice safely and progressively.

2. This is a discipline, it takes training, hard work, and dedication to become good, but ANYONE can get started.

3. Parkour (and Freerunning) are fun! This beats the crap out of running on a treadmill or pumping some crazy arm machine.

4. and foremost: Traceurs and Traceuses (Parkour practitioners) don't practice to impress anyone, not even themselves...

If (hopefully) you are still interested, please take a look at this beginners introduction kit.
