Train Hard - Stay Humble

Short and simple. I've been taking Muay Thai and Jiu jitsu for about 5 months now.
The bummer is, my gym only does sparring sessions twice a week. I see sparring
as the fundamental practice to becoming better at martial arts, and also a great way to condition cardio. If you are interested in sparring please reply to this thread. It'd be cool to organize something fun.

Thanks,

Gene (Mizu)

5 months is not enough time training to spar with anyone. Including somebody at or below your own skills.

Much less advertising the advanced guys to come beat you up...

Training your kicks on a bannana bag or practice your backsteps and mount escapes alone is where your head should be.

Most people do not have the pads (CUP!, headgear, sparring gloves (>16oz), shinguards) so it ends up bloody/bruised even with guys who have some time under their belts.

Keep up the training but dont rush it.
