Event Description

Flash Mob style performance 2/14
Hey guys, Josh Klipp and Liz Outlaw, who we know through the Athletic Playground, are organizing a flash mob to perform in SF on Valentines Day (Sun, Feb 14th). He's the DJ and she has her normal dance crew that will be choreographing a lil bit, and they are looking for students of all type of movement... parkour, capoeira, dance, etc. to come be a part of it. The details are posted below. I (Brian) will be helping organize a lil bit, but am going to be out of town that weekend, so Andrey will be taking lead from the parkour end of the performance. Please post up if you wanna be a part it!

The Details

When:
Valentine's Day
February 14, 2010
12:00 noon

Where:
Union Square
San Francisco

Who:
5-10 traceurs
All are welcome

How it will work:
There are 10 different songs - about 25s each - which make up the entire mix. Each section has something different going on, a few of the sections are one big group dance. They want parkour to be during "Crazy in Love", which in the mix runs from 1min55s to 2min19s. The flash mob will take place pretty much in the middle of Union Square, and ideally the traceurs will come running in and use any levels, walls, benches, etc. for their part. It's quick, so just make the most of it!

Also, if any dancers are interested in doing some group choreography, that would be great. All group choreography will be posted on YouTube within the next week or so. After that, we'll have one big group rehearsal on 2/6, around 12:15pm - 2:15pm (in the city). There will be a final run through on site on 2/13.

Example:
The mob in this video was the inspiration for the Valentine's Day mob we are discussing now. Obviously it will differ a bit, but overall it will be similar

What YOU need to do:
If you are available and want to participate, post your full name here on this page(http://www.sfparkour.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3566) so Brian can pass it along to Liz and Josh.

...alright: event will be Sunday, February 14 (Valentine's Day), but they want participants to sign up early.
That's why it has been set for today (and will be probably updated for a while, day-to-day).
Is that right?
