Event Description

THURSDAY 11-20: DOE LIBRARY, 6:00PM

Training that is usually somewhere on the UC Berkeley campus, although this session has sometimes been moved to other places to scout and explore.

We meet every Thursday at 6:00pm. The standard meeting location is in front of Doe Library on the UC Berkeley campus, see the map linked above.

Other spots we migrate to may also be on that map.

These sessions last between 1.5-3 hours depending on the energy level of the crowd.

Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come, there will be a few experienced traceurs there to help you get started!

Come get to know the practitioners in the area. I will update info here every week, but details will most likely be what is above. If you have questions, contact me at 8586995008, or by email lethalbeef@sfparkour.com. Or post here.

I'll probably show up at 6 anyway. I'd still be down with getting a few people together and doing some light practice in some of our typical haunts, if anyone is still willing to come out.

...in case you think it might work, feel free to use the "Send Message to Group" feature of the East Bay Traceurs group, which should be available to you as a group member yourself.
=)

A note to all you guys for this week (posted on sfpk/facebook too so it may be redundant):

Okay, here's the deal.

I have a midterm on Tuesday and the review session is on Thursday, at 6-8pm. So... it doesn't look like i"ll be able to make it to this one. Unless you guys want to do a different time? If so, post, email, call, text, whatever, contact me about availability, but I probably won't be able to get out; notice is too short. So I'm going to set the regular thing at the same time as normal scheduled practice, and if you'd like to do a short ~1 hour training/lesson session with me perhaps Wed. night, we can set something else up.

Even though I won't be there, I believe we may be graced with a special visiting traceur - namely Tyson Cecka from The Tribe. He's been training for a long time and has done a lot of professional work and a lot of instruction! He knows how to teach and can give you a lot of help, probably better than I can. I'll check if he's available to hang out with you guys on Thursday. If I'm lucky I'll get out of my review session and catch the end of the training... Someone get a group picture for me when the numbers peak.

On another note, I want to be able to contact all of you about stuff like this, so if you plan to come regularly to this session, I'd appreciate it if you could pm me with your email address - and if you're a Berkeley student, please sign up for the facebook group "Cal Parkour"!

Yeah. I wanted a way to make it regular without having to repost it every time, but I'll start to make new ones and just copiaste the same info onto the site. With this you can still revise the itinerary, but rsvp list is annoying.

I put up a new event each week so it'd be a little easier to track who is actually coming each time. Plus, I'm maybe a little obsessive about the calendar representing what actually happened (instead of having a hole every Thurs when this practice changes). And of course it's nice to have to revise the itinerary each week to keep things fresh.

Should I just make a new thread every week?

Sorry we only met up with you at the tail end of the jam, dana.

I might not be there next week. Is there any way to clear the RSVP list?
