Bay Area Parkour

Train Hard - Stay Humble

...you guys may have seen this elsewhere: http://www.thedenverchannel.com/video/18955162/index.html. (opens in new window, not embeddable)

I thought it'd be noteworthy, because IMO it substantially raises the bar of the coverage for the general audience... involving parents, onlookers, and different experience level practitioners in the conversation. And this, just across the Rockies.

And, btw., I can live well with "high energy, physical discipline".
Hey, after all, "they said it in the News"...lol!

(sorry for the milk commercial...)

I think it's more accurate than most, but it does not capture parkour completely, as nothing really can.

It's nice having comments from the parents, onlookers, etc...
I'm not sure that guy is the right guy to teach parkour...

He works in a gym and has broken so many bones, I think that if he were a really careful practitioner, he would not have so many injuries.

Oh well, I don't think there's much we can do about that.
Hey, milk is awesome. Don't diss my milk. ;)

The report is fairly accurate though, and I'm glad they described it as a physical discipline as opposed to a sport. They got it a little mixed up with freerunning and portrayed it as more dangerous than it really is, but for the most part it was pretty good. Very positive and promoting tolerance towards traceurs. Pretty good overall.
that video wasn't really bad or anything, it just didn't get as much of parkour as they could have... i've also never heard ne1 call parkour "urban ballet" either...

i wish people clapped for me when i parkour, instead they just look at me like im crazy =(
Okay, the reporting was good. But what I'm more focused on is: we need a park like that out here. Holy crap.
Better coverage than what I've seen. Applebee's $20 for 2!!!! lol;D
