We'll be meeting at Noon - warm-up/stretch - at 12:30pm we'll move to the Canyon for some nature techniques in addition to climbing and precision work on the nearby rock formation - 1:30/45pm back for skills and technique training (thus, if you are late and don't see us, just come to the rocks, or warm up and wait for us ). Absolute beginners/newcomers shouldn't be late!

Session description:
This training provides a healthy atmosphere for new practitioners to start parkour, and for everyone to advance in a safe way. This is achieved in several ways. Because safety is paramount, a positive example is set by the more experienced practitioners. This means you will always see warm ups, stretching, and slow progression of movement. It also means there will be no showing off, which leads to copy-cat behavior and subsequently injuries. Rather, people pass on knowledge humbly in a group effort to advance. While there may be several different skill levels represented at these sessions, everyone keeps a beginner mentality.
Another key aspect in this beginner atmosphere is the absence of media. There are no camera crews or reporters to get in the way or cause people to feel self-conscious. While individuals may bring cameras, they should politely ask before filming/shooting anyone other than themselves.
The perception that parkour practice is (and should be) fun, yet being "a discipline, not a game", is set from the beginning. While the atmosphere is relaxed and can be playful at times, horseplay is discouraged, and teasing, mocking, and cliquish behaviors are not tolerated...

Hey Ali and others first timers that a sore. We've all been there. It just means that you put out. I remember after my first day I could barely walk up the stairs for a week because my legs were so sore. After the second and third session your muscles will get use to it hope to see some of you back next sunday...
I wish that I live closer, that way I can come to training whenever I want to.

Sorry we missed you, Benny- we were at the rocks due south of the playground, to the southwest of the rocks where the boulderers usually go. It was a big group today, probably around 20 people, mostly new faces! We were there for about half the session then back up the playground.
Which rocks did you guys go to?
I didnt even see you all.
My favorite is the rock climbing :D
I will be at the main boulders practicing with roping technique with some friend so I wont be training but will probably see you all down there =)
