Train Hard - Stay Humble

Livewire (Spring 09) - Parkour - Freerun - Urban Freeflow

Most of this video I guess would be considered free running and i was kinda hesitant of putting this on here, but i believe if u look at it from the art of movement perspective, its a pretty amazing video. Whatever you wanna call it you have to admit that the training and focus required to gain this amount of control over your body makes this worth watching. ( I don't necessarily like urban freeflow, but they do put out some good videos once in a while)

I think he meant to do that at :33 :D Oleg did the exact same move before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ws7q8qFAMi4&feature=channel_page
It's pretty cool, don't know how practical it is though :D
I really like Tim's creativity/imagination, he always brings something new to the table every time.

I still respect him a lot, despite him taking part of the Freerun championships, it doesn't really matter to me, he has a lot of skill :)

"the future of parkour will require lots of self discipline on the side of practitioners."

Yes.

Sin said: "its a little disrespectful to the community around you when a video is more important"

...very true, but unfortunately that must be standard practice in downtown London.
And aside for a few SWAT units showing up, it would be probably the same in "DronesLand" Manhattan, NY...

Picture trying to stop commuters foot traffic in Times Square... the more attention you would get would be some random nutcase pulling out a Katana from his briefcase... lol!
:D

Another reason why the future of parkour will require lots of self discipline on the side of practitioners.

some cool stuff here and there, the only thing that really bothers me is they didn't bother to hold pedestrian traffic for some of those moves. At 1:23 it would have been really easy for someone to tell that guy walking up the stairs that they are filming and could he wait a minute. I know this guy is good, but we take risks when we practice and its one thing for us to understand those risks, its another thing altogether to subject innocent bystanders to those risks. How pissed would you be if you were coming home from work and some kid landed on your head? I just think its a little disrespectful to the community around you when a video is more important.

but other then that some really interesting ideas and some cool moves.

0:35 handstand into dive roll is really interesting, and
2:42 looks like magic (!?!)...
overall crazy Chinese circus level acrobatics in a real world environment.

Can you guys believe how in the UK bywalkers don't even notice anymore that people are flipping over their heads?!?

Whatever you say about UFF, they have some amazing physical capabilities.

0:33 is a really nice recovery; it looks like he meant to do that.

He truly is amazing.

However, he competed in the Urban Freeflow Freerun Championships and was given the title "World's Second Best Freerunner", so I have a strong dislike for him.

I especially liked the kongs into handstands. I want to try to work up to that sometime.
