Event Description

Parkour 101: a presentation
"Join the Bay Area Parkour (BApk, us!) coaching team for an introductory workshop to the world of Parkour.
Parkour is all about getting over obstacles in your path as you would in an emergency situation. It will teach how to move in a way that will help you gain the most ground, as if escaping from something, or chasing towards someone, with efficient unconventional movements.

The BApk coaching team is made of volunteers and practitioners with several years of experience with this activity and who don't take any shortcuts in training or coaching; they keep things smart, safe, and strong."

For this first talk Jodie and Seng have prepared a nice slideshow presentation with A/V support, and will be representing BApk's "coaching team".
Of course everybody is invited to attend and support the two speakers for the Q&A session, and to best represent the diversity of BApk's membership in this first appearance at the Sports Basement Speaker Series (map to location).

@Marisa: of course, you're welcome!
This is meant PRIMARILY for non-traceurs: prospective practitioners and their parents, fitness professionals, and in general interested individuals...

We should be there mainly "representing".

In all likelihood I will be there and ready to jam before/after(during? j/k). btw, do you guys mind if I take the liberty of posting this around? I love you all, but it'd be cool to get non-bapk folk to attend our events too. :)
