Train Hard - Stay Humble

I have been made aware of this post from the admin of the other local pk site:

"We have heard from some people that they haven't been improving although they've been going to the BAPK sessions for 6+ months now, so we are trying to figure out a way to provide a more structured, progressive solution. not to mention its something we've been talking about here for quite a while. These beginners classes are the first step, so trying to figure out how we can expand.
...
i dunno, just thinkin out loud here.
"

This is a disgusting thing to say....and it is rather telling. First of all, the number of people training regularly with BAPK for the past six months is very small. It consists of the core members of the community, and I cannot fathom any of them saying something like this to Corndogg...most of them have never even met Corndogg. So, are the core members of BAPK running off to Corndogg to tell him how they are not progressing?....I highly doubt it. The people of this community know that it is completely open. They know that if they have a suggestion about the session, they can talk about it in public.

This is just more anti-BAPK propaganda from SFPK. Pathetic. Perhaps part of the SFPK clan encompassed in Cordogg's "we" obtained this information about our supposed non-progressing members somehow. I urge these "double agents" to come forward and speak up.

If you are the one passing this information along, then speak to us first! If you see a problem with our sessions, why not tell us? We are very open to suggestions. This community is for the people. Why run to someone else and talk about us?

I'd love to have a public discussion about this, if these people are willing to reveal themselves. I fail to see how someone could not be progressing with us though. We offer three sessions a week. 1 completely focused on conditioning, 1 focused on conditioning and technique, and 1 focused on conditioning, technique, and jamming.

not a bad idea at all (giving up forums for lent). perhaps it'll be harder to know when others are training, but that could be a good thing. 40 days of only solo training might do you wonders :]
propaganda: information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.

I think that a lot of stuff that members of the forums say is propaganda against the other forum.

Take Corndogg's comment for example: I think that he said that to hurt BAPK or at least promote SFPK.

I also think this could be propaganda because it is information that was been spread, and it COULD have been intended to promote BAPK or hurt SFPK. I doubt kaos would do that, but an impartial third party would likely view this as propaganda.

Another example: On SFPK, Austin said that he didn't understand our "cultish" mentality. That could also be meant to harm us.

I'm not saying who is posting more propaganda, I'm just saying that it exists on these two websites.

So, instead of spreading the word about whatever bad things SFPK people say about us, let's create a thread on how we can stop bashing of both websites.
Thats very idealist of you, but "a thread on how we can stop bashing of both websites" won't do anything. For one thing, almost all people are stubborn dicks regarding their positions, its natural and there is nothing you can do about it. Since its such a polarized topic, even if you hammer the noble intentions of the thread into everyone else, the same propaganda and one-sided opinions will be rampant.
For example, despite your supposed neutral stance, your comments here:

"Take Corndogg's comment for example: I think that he said that to hurt BAPK or at least promote SFPK.

That could also be meant to harm us."

implied very vividly that you think SFPK are full of propagandists, and that you don't like them, thus undermining your also implied "neutral" stance.
Point is, don't try, the "stop bashing" thread won't work. Either there won't be a net change in attitude, or it will heighten the problem...
Possibly, but it's an idea. Again, I'm not saying that SFPK or BAPK has more propaganda, I'm just saying it exists on both sites. I use SFPK and BAPK and I like them equally. They serve the same purpose.
you guys have Propaganda phobia. seriously.
Corn wrote some bad stuff....

Chris was harmed by it. and got mad. he wrote this. and some supported him.

There END OF STORY!

and BAPK, SFPK do NOT serve the same purpose

O yes....how bout we just make SFPK stop bashing us. wouldnt that solve all of the problems?!
BAPK and SFPK serve the same purposes: to organize jams and talk about parkour.
Alex, and more correct statement would be: BAPK and SFPK share two purposes. This makes more sense because each site has several additional goals that are not the same. We certainly do not serve all the same purposes, which is why this site exists.
