I would agree that he has developed mental fortitude in his approach to gaps and heights, but I would also never use him as an example of good (ie efficient) technique. But sometimes strength and conditioning can compensate (compare the Italians to the Scandanavians in nordic skiing, to use an example from another sport- the Norwegians are incredibly smooth, but the Italians have such incredible conditioning that they still get medals despite choppy technique). If he was smoother, he could be amazing but I think he'd have to relearn a lot of things to reach his potential.

I think the catleap is good because he is already on top of the obstacle right after the catleap. He does not need to use extra energy to perform a muscle up.

So, you need the same amount of mental strength to make a jump over a 5 foot drop and one over a 500 foot drop?
2:41 ouch! hight doesnt mean anything, and you cant really tell by his body how ling he's been training. his arms are alright, and he obviously has very powerful legs.
man, i do not like the way he does his catleaps..... it just seems way to rough of a landing.

I think his technique for catleaps is much better than the "traditional" catleap, and I don't think that they are near misses. Obviously, it does not hurt him very much, and he is already on top of the obstacle after the catleap.

Why is it that whenever anyone posts something having to do with PK Generations everyone jumps all over it, criticizing it in every way possible?!?!?!
I don't give a shit about how his body type compares with David Belle's!!! He is an amazing traceur who has obviously been training hard for an extensive amount of time. I have huge respect for him and the rest of Yamakasi. It takes unbelievable amounts of mental strength to overcome the fear of heights.

I confirm 2:41...
Training for a long time doesn't mean training right... that's why I believe his body helped him.
David is built bigger than him, IMO: more weight for the same leverages.
Look at the landing at 2:23, not even at the roll.
And, seriously, how about his rolls vs. David's rolls, Kirill?
You are the expert...
About the near misses.
How come we approve David Belle's near misses (He has missed a ton) and we copmlain about this guy.
Just by looking at his arms you can tell how long he has trained.
He is one of the oldest of the Bunch. He has trained as much as David.
And i only saw one "near miss" - that was at 2:14.
The previous ones- its just how he cat leaps. Seriously.
His legs are amazing. His body is very trained. I guess it is easier to train your body if you are short (David Belle is like 4 feet.)
I also wouldnt call him tiny- he is jsut physically capable. He is jus strong lol! that why he can hold on~!
I actually like his technique- he seems quick, nimble, etc.
