Train Hard - Stay Humble

June 7

small group today, low key cause UCLA is having finals. me, Tayzon (Taylor), Rick, Brian#2, Shiloe, and Lo.

improvements on myself i've noticed:

more controlled precisions and improved distance (8.5 of my shoes. used to be 8)

new kong run up is a-go for objects waist height or lower :] i kinda wished any of the guys from thursday night could have been there to see me take it outside for the first time, but i guess they'll see later :)
edit: funny story i forgot; the new run up is actually so much better that one time i got so much unexpected forward momentum that i nearly fell over into the ground. can't thank those guys enough for drilling me on this!!

my wall runs are much more solid fosho, can get 9 ft no problem. cant wait to get the med wall. grr.

we didn't do the grand (fountain) staircase, but we did others and i'm able to go a huge amount of steps backwards alligator without stopping now! like 25 or so. that's huge to me anyway :P once i stop though it's never as easy again... a lesson i use to keep me going.

got my first 180 cat today between two walls. wasn't a very big distance, but it was real!

bear kongs (you know... kong walking with your hands. i forget who called them this but it was someone in SF. i like the name) are getting better. i keep increasing obstacle height, hope to get up to waist soon.

gaining more confidence in general. i think it comes from all the above gains, and also the loving support of all the guys i train with!
