Bay Area Parkour

Train Hard - Stay Humble

Toronto (CAN) North American capital of PK training...

...and BAparkour has always been (even before its official inception), and still is, a very female-practitioners-friendly community.

But can we match an entire week-end with a full-house of 20-traceuses-20?!?

Read the whole story at PKNA, but see with your own eyes here:

Ladies!
Can we hope to have our first only female beginners (and not) session in September, when everybody will be back from travel/vacations?
=)

and cool, if you have any ideas of something you want to cover or do, let us know. well, i mean, we're going to cover everything anyway... ;P
off the bat i'm thinkin a lot of conditioning of the basic abilities... especially everyone's jump (core of the vault). And flow practice. I realize people don't actually train that nearly enough. Cardio's a killer :D
UPDATE on the very first fully dedicated indoor PK training center in North America:

BApk's very good friend Pkdanno from Parkour Toronto (PKTO) has officially launched his facility...
(in the linked thread pictures of the "making of Danno's gym"...)

What does this gym have?
- Full gymnastics floor area
- Foam Pit
- Boxes of different heights
- Catleap areas
- Wall climb areas
- Full workout area with all essential equipment
- And some other fun surprises

...in the next update we will report about the facility's dedicated website.
new UPDATE on the very first fully dedicated indoor PK training center in North America:
Dan (aka: pkdanno) present the facility
(some familiar faces there)

(no dedicated website yet...)
rofl. just watched this for the first time.

that place looks amazing, and the plans danno has for it sound incredible. it'd be soooo cool to see more pk gyms pop up all over the world - so long as we never limit ourselves to them ;)
...more of the Toronto facility in this video.
PKTO Summer 2008 teaser (!!!)

...and you thought we may have difficulties with 30 traceurs? Try a few hundreds... lol!
Well, it's also true that there are probably 3 times more people training in the Toronto area than there are in the bay area. They had 100 people jams 3 years ago. I think we're doing pretty well :) But there's always a ways to go!
hehehe...
...think about who was here three years ago.
;)
...and now (*rolling drums!)... you saw the pictures... you heard the stories... look for yourself the inspiring/exhilarating pkTO All-Girls-Jam (or better: "training"):

...just in time for the upcoming BApk WomenJam!
God DAMN that looks fun. Are the AcroSports lessons like this?
