About Me:
Born in SF and currently live on the SF Peninsula. Work and train in Berkeley throughout the week, and I’m always down to jam if I’m available.
“Dig 10 miles deep and 1000 miles wide.”
I’ve dipped my beak in many disciplines, incorporating what is useful to me; I love exploring how to apply the techniques I already know in my parkour, a relatively new training ground for me.
In the beginning of 2009 I started seriously training. I was introduced to it (not knowing what it was) with the Nike Presto commercials long before that, but I never thought of it as something I could do if I tried—like taking up a new sport or playing an instrument—to me they were just “stunts”.
It wasn’t until I showed my mentor some Yamakasi videos, when he told me, “once I see another man do something, I KNOW I have the ability to do the same thing…and if I can break it down and articulate exactly what he did—the only difference between us is gung fu [hard work/training].”
That got me thinking.

Nice story, thanks for sharing. The subject of fear as an obstacle comes up a lot in pk (related) discussions and it's an interesting paradox how abolishing fear can mean indulging in recklessness. I've found myself asking the question, at what po...
Is he really saying to choose not to fall? I would agree with the idea that it's bad to be afraid of falling, but I also think it is more beneficial to choose to fall on occasion, to learn how to do it and be able to not only maintain a clear ment...

As traceurs we all encounter a great deal of obstacles, but most of them we are able to surpass after some practice (that is what parkour is all about, after all). However, there is one obstacle that is taller than the highest wall, longer than th...
