I recently received a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship for a 6 week US parkour research trip. It would be awesome if someone could host me from 30th July - 4th August if possible please?

Below are the aims, activities and schedule of my research trip. If you know of any other people/events I should visit in any of the places I'm going please let me know and I will try to fit it in!

Its my first time in San Francisco so id appreciate any suggestions of where to stay and anything I should definitely visit/see/do! I

AIMS

1 To identify ‘best practice’ for the delivery of recreational Parkour based physical activity for the elderly.
2 Produce case studies with senior Parkour participants highlighting the benefits of such exercise.
3 Research the correlation between outdoor physical activities, general wellness and social inclusion in New York and San Francisco and how this knowledge transfer could be leveraged in London
4 Cross fertilisation of ideas, techniques and methods with US based Parkour practitioners working with older participants
5 To gain exposure to new artistic developments and understand how self expression can be utilised to greater effect within Parkour.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Interviewing leaders/coaches
Interviewing participants
Participant questionnaires (plus consent forms for filming)
Filming clips of sessions
Exploring methods of movement applicable to older people
Having conversations & sharing knowledge
Observing and taking part in classes
