Train Hard - Stay Humble

Information

Beginners

It would be nice if any brand-new-kid-on-the-block (only absolute beginners, without previous experience training parkour, or at least training with others...) would want to tell us about their first day impressions here. Thanks, BAPK

Hi, i'm new to BAPK, and parkour alike, does anyone have any insight to training in the texas area or tips for me to get started training? i sure could use some pointers, so far all i've explored was running precision, vaults and front hand spring off things.

A couple comments about the sessions and beginners. It would be nice if the BAPK organizer/lead at each event could ask for beginners to identify themselves, and then provide them with a set or series of moves that would be good to work on given the environment. Especially for beginners and newbies, the more direction and explanation of the moves the better.

Hi; first post. Aside from about twice in college, I'd never attempted any Parkour until the past week. I've gone out almost every day, though, dividing my time three ways: 1) going for a boring ol' run, but looking for walls, fire hydrants, railings, whatever, to do a quick move on 2) finding an area with good topography and practicing some basics like a rolling landing, and 3) based on a comment I read somewhere on BAPK, picking a point in the distance and getting to it however I can.

Really looking forward to meeting some people and practicing/jamming together. This is FUN.

Hey. I went to my first session yesterday. Definitely the most fun Ive had this summer. I spent an hour working on a turn vault. I'll get it eventually. Haha I'm way sore though

Howdy folks! Just joined and am looking forward to jamming with you soon. I learned some parkour vaults and landings from Jodie at Acrosports on Wednesday night. I'm still sore from that session. :)
