Bay Area Parkour

Train Hard - Stay Humble

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8VDxlbgtUc

Was anyone there or did anyone see it? Apparently it was introduced by the Punisher (Ray Stephenson) and there was a live performance plus a video ( I believe by Julie Angel). Thoughts and comments?

I personally thought it was a little off..

..."off", in which sense?
It seemed a little showy to me. I know it was supposed to be for this youtube live thing, but I think they could have toned it down a little. Thats just my opinion.
Their stance with their arms crossed, chests out....thats the opposite of the spirit of parkour....not to mention that their movements were the opposite of parkour. But that doesn't matter!! There is money to be made here! Forget what parkour is about! We want flips! We want idols! ...right?
YES!!! we totally do... :(
Lol...
Go ahead, Kirill!
You can be MY idol!!!
;)
haha 8) but nothing...really funny though...pretty disappointing
I do not have a problem with anything except for Austin's gainer. That is not parkour, but they called it parkour. If they want to make it a little showy, it's fine with me, because they explained what parkour is and what it's about, and because they showed a part of a documentary that displayed hard training and progression.
Oh yeah, the arms crossed chests out was also not right.
i liked the video, but i'm skeptical on how people who don't train in parkour would think of it
...good point!
I'll give it a shot: "tough guys doing stunts and acrobatics"?
Much like most people think after watching some of the most popular parkour/freerunning compilations on Youtube.

"Oh, man, that's soooo cool! I wanna start parkour now (thinking of freerunning)! Hey man, you wanna come over to my house and practice backflips off the roof?"
...also: "sh@t! I love this adrenaline stuff! Fk'n awsome!!!"
