I'm helping to organize a project about Thomassons, the name for unintentional art created by a city when a structure becomes useless. These structures are all around us and no doubt we've all noticed them, perhaps more so than most people because many of these structures are picked up in our parkourvision as potential training spots. I know a lot of us carry around digital cameras everyday so if you come across one, I'm asking that you participate in the project by submitting your Thomasson. All the photos up right now are devoid of people, but I think it would be cool to show our revision of a spot as a training structure.

If you submit a location in SF, please put "sfthomasson" in the tag so it will show up on the special SF Thomassons project page.

In the larger scope of the project, we're collaborating with a dance group to create performances at these structures which will be part of a tour around the city sometime this winter.
