From SFPK Admin Meatlad:
"Hey everyone,
SFPK has been invited to set up a parkour station at the Power to the Peaceful Festival next Saturday, September 11, and you're all invited to stop by and jam and enjoy some free live music!
Power to the Peaceful is a free, annual one-day music festival started by Michael Franti and Spearhead (the headliners) in Golden Gate Park. There's going to be lots of booths of activist groups, they're going to lead a yoga class from the stage in the morning, and there should be plenty of awesomeness. Check out the website to see what other bands are playing and to get a sense of it.
They're setting aside an area for us and providing us with materials for vault boxes and other obstacles. There won't be a ton of stuff we'll be able to make, but enough for about 10 people we're hoping. We'll be inviting people in from the crowds to try parkour too, and it should be a good time.
We'll get there around noon probably and stay till Franti & Spearhead finish about 5ish (maybe later?).
Stop by!"

SFPK's monthly Beginner's Class, which normally switches between Justin Herman Plaza in SF and UC Berkeley, will also be held at the Power to the Peaceful festival. Details on the class can be found here: http://www.sfparkour.com/forum/showthread.php?p=56485#post56485
