saw an orthopedist today - it's a nice, clean and complete achilles tear. getting it stitched up tomorrow. good news is that the bone wasn't damaged and post-surgery recovery time is fairly quick. should be gingerly back on both of my feet in a week or so. returning to parkour will have to wait for a couple of months or more. catch you guys later.

<p>I personally find the first step on the wallrun to be one of the most dynamic and stressful positions you could find in parkour. It can be one of the most dangerous moments in parkour and have heard of several traceurs getting torn and ruptured (one had your same exact injure and was booted for 3-4 months) from that position.</p>

Oh no, man! That sucks so bad!<br/>
:(((<br/>
<br/>
Unbelievable that something so apparently harmless (the first step in the wall on a wallrun) can cause such a bad injury...<br/>
<br/>
Please keep us posted on the final diagnosis and lookout for recovery.<br/>
Also, I'm so glad you did have <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>health insurance</strong></span>... a thought for everyone: DON'T PRACTICE (anything, not only PK) WITHOUT BEING COVERED!<br/>
It's not worth it.

earned myself a ruptured achilles tendon on that overly aggressive wall run. don't know the full extent of the injury yet, but it's safe to say that i'll be out for a while. it's been a blast training with you guys. special thanks to giorgio and jodie for providing the guidance during these past few months and brian & keric for literally helping me to my feet today. stay safe!
